We design and implement Nature-based Solutions on a scale that delivers economic, environmental and social co-benefits to address climate change

  • Nature-based Solutions (NbS)

are “actions to protect, manage, and restore natural or modified ecosystems, while addressing societal challenges and providing biodiversity benefits”.

  • Example

The reforestation of mangrove habitats. Mangroves do have an exceptional high CO2 sequestration capacity, they offer coastal protection and act as natural ecosystem for many species. As result, it creates new and sustainable business opportunities due additional fish, crabs, shells, honey and fodder. Accordingly it will increase local’s livelihood.

    a WIN/WIN/WIN situation

  • Business case

Mangrove reforestation is an accredited methodology for CO2 sequestration and the results are official Certified Emission Reductions (CER). CERs are transactional, and can be used for compensating a CO2 footprint elsewhere. The return will cover the investments and deliver a positive business case. This is attractive for investors, governments and of course for the local communities.
